… but sometimes when I’m at my desk pounding out multinational excellence on my ergonomic wireless keyboard I like to think it’s this fun and funky and spontaneous and cool. And then – like he does at the 1 minute mark here – I’ll stop, turn, smile, and throw a head nod to the room before going back to the delivery of business value.
I’m not sure anybody really notices. Though my headphones are plenty loud, so I’m sure they all hear.

Three year update: she’s still super duper awesome.

Oh man check out the doodlenation infiltration. This notepad arrived via padded manila envelope courtesy of my Eastern Wisco beat reporter and Gopher/Badger hockey host Carl. He sent it to me with a nice note suggesting that a) I might like it and b) I should sue something called ‘Affinia Hotels’ for trademark infringement. I chuckled. Then I wondered how Carl remembered I had a blog. I suspected I was the only one. I missed you, too.
Can I say it’s been a busy summer? The normal August hiatus hit a little early and ran a little late. I’d blame it on german software and a busy home life, but that wouldn’t explain the 45-odd fried fish po-boys I managed to squeeze in at Sea Salt over the same period. Literally, in some cases. HEY O! DID I SAY I MISSED YOU, TOO!! OH MAN I HAVE SOME STORIES!!! Ok, but yeah, it’s basically fall now – which I know because the firewood guy who shows up a couple of times a year to sell me firewood showed up at my door IN HIS NEW TRUCK this evening to remind me that it was getting chilly. Thanks. Nice truck. Totally we still have tons of wood left from last year. But come by sometime after the 1st and we’ll see how things are looking. Hopefully it’ll be a big winter for the fireplace. Because fireplaces are awesome.
Ok wait, where was I? I forget, it doesn’t matter. The point is that I’m not dropping this thing yet. And this old school paragraph stuff is back. Always were. And hells yes this baby still flies on movable 3.15 (c) 2004. Take that, rewind it back.
