Christmas was a big hit

Christmas was a big hit again this year. I think my highlight was hearing that my mom went to Carson Pirie Scott and asked where the 'bitch pants' were. (It was at that time she realized that not everybody calls them 'bitch pants'.) It was also neat to try a marionberry pie, which I'd never heard of before, but turned out to be pretty good.

14 days until Tahoe. If we had snow here, I could go get in shape, but since we don't, I'll just have to hope for the best.

KC took me to the

KC took me to the Vikings game today. We had really good seats because he got them from some big shot at CBS Sports. The game was over pretty much before it started, but I didn't mind. It was fun to watch people throw paper airplanes and to cheer for a guy named Spergon.
Looks like a white Christmas afterall.

LOTR last night. 3 hours

LOTR last night. 3 hours is a long time to go when you're trying not to blink. What a great show.

We're off to Tahoe pretty

We're off to Tahoe pretty soon. We're gonna chill in some hot springs after getting beat-down on the ski-hills all day. Good thing I've managed to keep my figure looking good going into the winter.

In the last week, both

In the last week, both J-man and Fat Tommy have gotten engaged. Tommy lives in Kansas and got engaged to his girlfriend, Barbi. I've never met a real 'Barbi' before, so I'm looking forward to that. I'm betting she's heard all the obvious jokes (Hey, where's Ken?), so I'm going to have to think-up something clever.

I coded-up a comments system last night. I'm going to do some more testing and then role it out sometime. We'll see how that goes.

Ever since I went to

Ever since I went to St. Louis, all of our radio presets were changed to include hard rock stations. Either Grossie was hanging out in my house or Libs is a closet metal fan. Either way, I'm worried.

A Mayo Clinic study has documented that prayer does not help the healing process of patients. Shares of Jesus [NASD: JSUS] were off 31% in late day trading.

Google just expanded their usenet

Google just expanded their usenet archive back 20 years. That's a lot of crappy posts to review. At least it shows I wasn't an ass...most of the time.

I wish it would snow.

I wish it would snow. I'm ready to ski.

First there was marbles, now

First there was marbles, now there's this crazy game which is killing some of my time. I got like 2000 points one time, but I got bored pretty fast. Let me know what your best is.

I see that olympic torch

I see that olympic torch will not be in Minnesota this time. That's too bad, because when it came through before, it was really cool. A bunch of us went down by the river and rode our bikes along side the torch. It was at night, and there were tons of people, it was quite a scene.

I guess they figure people here in Minnesota don't like winter sports.

Well, it's that time of

Well, it's that time of year again. The time of year when we smell pine trees and baked goodies, we see red and green decorations, and we hear "The Twelve Days of Christmas" used in radio commercials again. Do the marketing idiots think I actually listen to these ads?!

I just found out that

I just found out that a guy I work with is good friends with Leo Kottke's kid. It must be strange to have such a cool dad. I guess my kids will just have to get used to it.

Libby mentioned today that La Cucaracha closed-up their downtown location because of violence in the restaurant. Anybody know if that's true? The food is so bad, I almost got violent one time, so I guess I could understand.

Britney turned 20 yesterday.
