Today I brought in 5 multi-packs of peeps. I buy these things once a year and bring them into the office and watch people complain about them. "They're so gross!" [munch, munch] "They're too sweet!" [munch, munch] Pass the peeps!

I haven't gotten around to buying my wood yet, but I think it's a sure thing on Saturday morning. It'll be nice if this goes well, because then I can start building a couple other things I need to. If it doesn't go well, I'll probably build them anyway, but at least I'll think harder about it.
We're bringing a salad for 19 to Easter dinner at my cousin's house. I was thinking Chico Salad might be the way to go, but I'm not sure everyone else likes cold Spam. Honestly, I'm not sure if I like cold Spam.

One of the people consulting here is having their last day tomorrow. As is customary, we'll be taking them out to lunch. Whoever made the decision on where we're going to eat chose Kabuki. Now I'm all for taking people out, but this is like a $20+/head lunch, plus buying for the dearly departed. Instead, maybe I'll just give him $5, a pat on the back, and one of those firm handshakes that goes with a job well done.
The home.pc has been out of business for a few days, which explains why it's been a little slow. I think it's all back after last night.

So my bold prediction was wrong. That sucks. At least we got some good yucks at the bar after the game. Ahhh, afros...eases the pain.
Today is 318 day. As we said at 318, "May your beer be cold, your TP be rolled, and pray to god that your kitchen ceiling doesn't fall in." All the best to you and yours.

Big Gopher hockey victory (over SCSU) last night. Between games, we all went down to some bar in St. Paul and hoisted some beers while "waiting for a table" at the restaurant. There were some real characters there. My favorite was the guy who came in, got about 2 inches from my face, and yelled, "They're loud, they're plowed, and they're from St. Cloud!!" And I thought Borly's head was gonna explode when he saw people from both St. Cloud and Waseca.

I watched what might turn out to be the final episode of Undeclared last night. That's a great show. According to the paper, there's a good chance Fox won't renew it for next season. I also noticed that some other show -- maybe That 60's Show -- is replacing it starting next week. It's really too bad, that Marshall dude rules. Somebody also told me that Undeclared is by the same people that brought us Freaks and Geeks, which was also a great show that got cancelled after a single season. Man, that's some bad luck. And some bad network decision making.

I finally wrote to Drive105 today. I'm sick of their "we're not corporate radio" ads. I like the music and all, but they're owned by Disney, for chrisakes.

Judy Dutcher is running for governor of Minnesota. She was on MPR the other day and was plugging her website JudyDutcher.com. Good thing I checked it out, it's very informative. And here's a hint: don't hype your hype spewing website before it's chalk full of hype.

We kicked it up at Buck Hill last night. It's good to get some solid Minnesota skiing in before the end of the season. I went over to the snowboard park and tried to catch some mad air on the big bumps, but I didn't have much luck. For one thing, the 12 year olds kept getting in my way. Also, being so fat, it was hard to hold on to the rope tow that gets you back up the hill. Back to the black diamond steeps, I guess.

Yesterday was Libby's birthday. Like every other day, she got to be the boss for the whole day. It's not as bad on her birthday...somehow it even feels justified.
We went out for a nice dinner and some dancing. It was fun. I also identified a new restaurant pet peeve. I don't like it when people other than your server bring-out your food and don't know who ordered what. I don't mind that they have special employees to bring the food out right away, but it annoys me that they can't take the time to figure out who ordered what before they deliver the vittles. Instead, you sit there raising your hand, like you have to go to the potty, to indicate you're the guy who ordered the crab cakes. Lame.
