My two most recent exposures to ducks:

  • The other day while running around Lake Harriet, I saw a couple of ducks right by the shore that were either play-fighting or doing it. I guess I'll know for sure which one in 28-34 days.

  • This morning when I left for work there were a couple of ducks pigging out at our backyard birdfeeders. I didn't even know ducks ate sunflower seeds. I thought they ate weeds and minnows and stuff. Guess I was wrong.

    We got a duck that evidently did it cause she laid eggs and has her nest up next to our deck. She only spends the night there though. During the day she doesn't hang around. We have 14-20 days left to go.

    sweet! did you dye the eggs different colors for easter? just to make the nest seasonal, of course.

    you should fire up the kiddie pool for the ducklings. then tie lulu to a tree out back and make your own little petting zoo out there. charge kids $2 to get in. after you've saved enough of your profit, you can add the greatest of all backyard zoo animals to your menagerie: prairie dogs.

    prairie dogs rule.
