this story ruled. especially the part about how the edina mayor makes a small salary, but that other suburbs are scared to be the one who "pays their mayor more than edina". full disclosure: i didn't realize how little they got paid, and now that i do know, it sure doesn't seem like enough. but the fact that it's so insignificant probably helps keep some of the 'wrongly motivated' people out, so that's good.
