they're planting 21 trees in the hopes that they will "regenerate naturally" and replace the "hundreds of thousands of diseased trees [that] have been removed from minneapolis and st. paul boulevards, parks and other public places [since 1961]." i'm no tree expert, but i bet that could take a while.
