lone doughnut update: actually in chapter 11, court ordered them out [lonedoughnut]

turns out the manager guy wasn't exactly feeding me the whole story when i asked him what was up, though i guess i wouldn't expect him to during a 30 second conversation. in any event, i went back to my office and fed myself whole delicious doughnuts. [earlier]

    No, the bankruptcy Court DID NOT order the Lone Doughnut Cafe Out.
    Mike's hearing wasn't even going to happen until Sept. 3. His reorganization and repayment plan looked great, and he expected his plan to be approved by the trustee and creditors. The Doughnut shop expected to sign a new lease, and continue in it's location for many more years; repaying all of its debts.
    The eviction was filed by HUB Acquisitions Trust,
    the Boston based owner of the building, locally represented by REIT Management and Research. That order came from UD (unlawful detainer) Court, and is unrelated to the Chapter 11 filing. Please, please update your rearks, as your Blog is a destination for many search engines, and we're really having a hard time getting the accurate story out. Thank you for taking the time to comment.     mark - i assumed the court forced you out because the faq says:

    "Mike must comply with a court order that requires him to vacate the current premises of The Lone Doughnut Cafe before September 1, 2006."

    i assume you're thinking my post makes it sound like it was 'bankruptcy court', when in fact it's some other court. let the record show it's not bankruptcy court, it's a court order from the jackass donut-hating owner of the building.

    in any event, i'm happy to let you explain yourslef here. also, fellow readers, let me be clear on this: NOBODY should look at me as an expert on any of the proceedings going on with respect to the closing of the awesome lone donut shop. i'm just a clown with a blog who likes their donuts. are we clear? crystal.
