they don't have a website and i can't find any mention of the closing online, but believe me, my friends, they're closing at the end of the month. i talked to the manager dude and he said the building just wants them out. if there was ever a time for grassroots rebellion, this would be it. those are hands down the best cake doughnuts in the twin cities and losing them will tear at the very fabric of our society.

i had an afternoon paper route when i was a kid, but up here in the cities our paper boy is always some dude in a van or something. i can't imagine some kid on a skateboard delivering papers at 5am. did that really used to happen? i'm pretty sure our little neighborhood paper is delivered by kids, so that's something.

the shelter the campers slept in apparently had bats living in it, so maybe the kids got bitten and maybe they didn't and maybe they have rabies and maybe they don't. i wouldn't normally post something like this, but it dovetails with the meerkat hysteria from last week, so i figured it was worth it. here's hoping don shelby does a misty-eyed soliloquy on the death of the bats like he did for the meerkats. nostradoodle predicts he won't. nostradoodle also predicts this story won't generate 21 pages of comments like the meerkat one did. huh.

i still think he's guilty, but i want to believe he's not. maybe somebody spiked his drink or something. though from what i understand, you don't take synthetic testosterone that way, you take it by shooting it, so maybe they spiked his daily injection. it could happen.
