interesting story, but it paints them as being a lot more 'controversial' than i've ever perceived them to be. i mean, let's be real: if 70% of kids you see out in public have them on (mine included), they're not some sort of underground fad, they're as mainstream as it gets. the real topic should by why they're so perfect. allow me: they can get wet, the kids can put them on and take them off by themselves, they're breathable, and they're colorful and fun. also this: the real 'consumed' story should have been about jibbitz. not sure why they focused on just the shoes.
