general mills to stop 'advertising' sugar cereals to kids [bizJ]
"at a session co-sponsored by the federal trade commission and the cbbb in washington, d.c., wednesday, the company announced that it will no longer advertise foods containing more than 12 grams of sugar per serving to children under 12." kudos to them, but come on, we all know they'll still have smiling cartoon characters dancing around marshmallow waterfalls on the front of the box. reminder: advertise to kids != market to kids. reminder2: marshmallow waterfalls are awesome.
