Kudos to the emergency responders, who seemed to totally have their act together in spite of the fact that 'collapsed interstate bridge' probably wasn't at the top of their doomsday scenario depth charts.

And kudos to all those kids from the U area who ran down to help right after it happened. I saw a couple of chuckleheads getting interviewed on the news and they really seemed rocked by it all. Nice work. For reals.

And kudos to my sister, who called to a) make sure we were ok and b) [accurately] predict that the local news would be on the air for the next 5 hours pointing at the bridge and saying "look, the bridge fell down!!!!"

Go give some blood.
