scalping is legal and visible and people are talking [twincities]

question not asked in the article that would have been interesting: has scalping really gotten worse now that it's legal? or has the fact that a kids show is the hottest ticket in the city suddenly exposed a bunch of people to a phenomenon they haven't experienced before? my guess: not much has really changed. personal anecdote: i got great seats for wilco. take that, scalpers.

I don't believe scalping is worse now that some states have lifted anti-scalping laws. For the fan that wants to get into the concert or game, the opportunites have improved dramatically! I believe so much in the acquisition of tickets in the secondary market that I wrote a book about it. Contact me for tips and check out my book at www.thepoormansticket.com.

I'd at least remove the link from his name... wouldn't want to help a spammer get better google rankings.

I was in Minneapolis right about the time the ban was lifted. I found it funny that scalping had been legal about 20 minutes and there was already at least one Ticket King scalping office open.

Not that Ticket Master hasn't been basically scalping people for years. Now there's just a new middle man getting their cut.
