i read the article twice but i still can't find the part where sue "the smoking ban will destroy my business" jeffers said she was sorry for being so very wrong about so very many things. i think we can officially ignore her now.

    Stub and Herb's sales were down 20% after the smoking ban went into effect, which was one of the factors that contributed to Sue's decision to sell the bar.

    Sales being up when a bar trades hands is no surprise. Grand reopenings always bring a boost of traffic from patrons curious to see what's new.

    Stub and Herb's will probably be around for a long time, of course, since it's going to be right by the new stadium. An advantage most bars don't enjoy.

    Ignore Sue at your own peril. She's a dynamo (with more time on her hands than ever before) and she isn't going to go away.

    I quit going to Stub & Herbs when I found out Sue was putting money ahead of the health of her customers and staff.

    But I don't want to see her go away. I'd love to see her run for Senate from somewhere to the far right of Norm. Or for Governor where she could attack Pawlenty for spending taxpayer dollars on things like bridges. That would be awesome.

    i quit going to stub and herbs when they stopped hosting 'grateful dead night' and/or when i ran out of punches on my mndaily card for buy-one-get-one pounder hamburgers. man, that was a sweet deal.

    and she may well be a dynamo, but she's also an angry and polarizing personality, and i typically ignore those types of sideshows. if that somehow leaves me in peril, i guess i'll have to live with the consequences.
