Think you know good banana bread? Yeah, so did I. She'd bake it up, I'd wolf it down. It was Grandma's recipe. It was good. Not great. But good. Other adjectives I'd use would include: ordinary, predictable, and consistent. Also maybe 'lacking', but I'd never say that in front of the um, bread.
Then I tried this one. It's Aunt Amy's. It's pure gold. And yeah yeah, it's basically banana cake with delicious crusty streusel topping. Maybe that's not your thing. In which case, seriously, what's wrong with you. Get help. The rest of you: get your bake on.

Aunt Amy's Killer Good Banana Bread
For the bread
1 stick softened butter
2 eggs
1/3 c sour cream
2 c flour
1 c sugar
3-4 large bananas
1/2 t salt
1 t soda
For the delicious topping
1/4 c brown sugar
1/4 c sugar
1/4 t cinnamon
- Preheat oven to 325.
- Line large loaf pan with wax paper.
- Cream together butter, sugar, and eggs.
- Mash up the bananas.
- Mix the bananas with the sour cream.
- Mix up the flour, salt, and soda.
- Add dry stuff to wet stuff.
- Stir.
- Mix up topping.
- Dump batter in pan.
- Sprinkle on delicious topping.
- Bake for 1 - 1:15.
- Rest for 5 minutes in pan, then remove and cool on wire rack.
