why do the Packers insist on cheating? [randball]

"the nfl is investigating whether packers db's paid linemen as an incentive to hold peterson under 100 yards..." for shame, cheeseheads, for shame.

  1. Peter thought:

    How can that be cheating?
there is no advantage to what they were accused of.

  2. dave thought:

yeah, it honestly didn't make any sense to me either.

and can we talk about how the 'payment' was only $500? these guys make 10's or 100's of thousands of dollars a game, but it's a $500 'bonus' that's really going to motivate them? wow.

  3. Chris thought:

Think about it like your interoffice NCAA basketball pool. Is the pleasure in winning the pool or is it in taking some of your coworkers cash?

I doubt the $500 itself would be the motivating factor, it's the pleasure of knowing that $500 came out of your coworkers pockets.

  4. dave thought:

i pretty much always lose my office pool. so yeah, i wouldn't know any of the 'pleasure' side of that equation.
